Emails and 3-year-olds
Here’s the rest of the email conversation that has been going on for the past 12 hours:
Rob (earlier this morning): Hey Amanda
I do respond to emails. I think you did not get the point of what I said.
I said for two years people have asked what the difference was between KI and Cinema. I stated the difference was on the screen tonight.
I stand by that.
As to “rude” words they are below and not above. (referring to my original email which you can see here-> http://bringthebeards.tumblr.com/post/189038799/cinema )

Me (immediately after receiving previous email and then running off to phyisic):
Rob,
Are you trying to tell me that the one true difference between KI and Cinema is that Cinema cares and thanks their actors and KI does not?
It seems as though you have no idea as to what KI really is, and you are beyond ready to bash any department but your own just to make a point.
You have demeaned my department that I worked so hard to get in to in front of 100+ people, and I am confused as to why. I wanted an apology, not a big one. A simple: “I’m sorry for my words, and I’m sorry that there were hurt students in the audience.” Not to be put down again in email form. Although I am not surprised, I still would like my apology. And I will work hard to get it. What you said is unacceptable.

“bash” but to point to the work itself and as a narrative and story telling performance oriented program to declare our debt to the guests of honor … the actors

Yes, I am very invested and proud of my department. However, what you said last night was not at all what you stated in your last email. What you said at the cinema premier in front of many actors, students, friends and parents was: “We appreciate and thank our actors.. unlike KI…” You targeted the KI department and made it sound as if Kinetic Imaging is not a department to BE proud of, when in fact, it most definitely is. I would like my apology, and if this tiptoeing around goes any further, I will request a bigger one for all of KI.
