AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Walked around for 2.5 hours, listening to Harry Potter (nearly done with Book1). Things I got:
- Miss Pedegrine’s Home For Peculiar Children at Blackwell’s
- Six pairs of ankle socks
- A pair of cheap, black flats
- A raspberry smoothie
- The number of someone at the international office who can supposedly answer my questions about working past September
It’s really nice out today. The Meadows is completely pink from the trees. That was my first time in Blackwell’s - it’s such a nice layout. I’m very excited about my new socks.
Done Done Done Done Done
Tomorrow I have to call people to see if they are cool with me, a total stranger, coming to see them in May to maybe make a documentary about them in June and I am so nervous that I am constantly on the verge of crapping myself.
Hi hello Scottish followers. Do you or someone you know live in the highlands or is doing something cool in Scotland and think they might be up for being in my documentary if Yes please contact me at omgwhatthefuckamigoingtodthissummerfuckmylife@gmail.com
Thanks.

I ended up emailing 3 more pubs, begging for them to show the Wichita game on Thursday
TGIFridays said they didn’t have access to American sports channels
BUT THEN BELUSHI’S (right off of Cockburn) EMAILED ME BACK:
“HI Amanda we certainly can put the game on for you just come in a bit early and let the bar staff know you are here to watch the game.
Sincerely,
Mark”
OH MY GOD. YES YES YES. IF I FIND THIS GUY. HE GETS A HUG.
(I am going to draaag my friends here if they want to watch basketball or not)
GIVE ME BASKETBALL. GIVE IT TO ME.
I have called 5 pubs within a 4 mile* radius of my flat
*I am willing to pay for a taxi walk* 4 miles to a pub to watch VCU basketball
- The first was no longer a number
- The second nobody picked up
- The third was a woman who I couldn’t understand over the racket
- The fourth was a man who said “only football. just football”
- The fifth didn’t know what I was talking about so I hung up and now I’m sad
I emailed one more place, but I doubt they’ll get back to me in time for Thursday’s game.
NOBODY CARES ABOUT MY BASKETBALL TEAM AND IT’S NOT FAIR.
It makes sense, really. I haven’t seen a single basketball court in months. Edinburgh, Scotland and the UK in general just really like their soccer, rugby and cricket. Which is fine! BUT IT’S MARCH FUCKING MADNESS. Give me this. I want to feeeeel Amerrrrrican. Anyway, things could be looking better. As long as I find a place by 11pm on Thursday, everything will be fine!
